Operations Manager

As Head of DevSecOps Operations you will:

• Design and oversee the implementation of the target operating model for mission critical application support and maintenance services;

• Define, describe and agree with stakeholders on the ITSM process landscape required for the target operating model;

• Define the target Operational framework spanning across people, processes and tools within the organization of the customer;

• Setup Operations Service Design framework for both the Programme and the customer’s organizations itself;

• Design and oversee implementation of end-to-end IT systems monitoring solution based on monitoring integration rails;

• Set up and maintain contacts with operations units to understand operational activities, drivers, and requirements; consider operations solution strategies and alternatives for possible implementation;

• Provide operational leadership in the resolution of inter-program and inter-project issues and advice management, business areas, etc.;

• Guide the Programme and individual project teams on adherence to the designed operations architecture;

• Develop and coordinate operations architecture roadmaps and plans;

• Continuously research and assess new analysis approaches for potential use, and provide recommendations and subject matter expertise regarding trends, technology, tools and services;

• Check compliance within the operations architecture and reinforce adherence to standards, policies, procedures, etc.;

• Perform any other task in line with the main purpose of the job.

Must have Skills (Demonstrable experience required):

• Ability to manage stakeholders at a CXO level.

• Emotional Intelligence required to deal with people and influence them

• Ability to deliver consultancy services – understand customer’s needs and objectives, distil the right ideas and forge them into the Operations Architecture.

• Demonstrable ability to distil complex idea into simple concepts which can presented and conveyed convincingly

Must have Required Qualification:

• Excellent, hands-on knowledge and experience in setting up ITIL driven support and maintenance delivery in large organizations;

• Excellent knowledge of standards such as ITIL, ITSM (must have);

• Ability to cope with complexity of the AS-IS operations environment and propose new solutions aligned to the views of the stakeholders;

• Ability to work independently in specific branch of the Programme, communicate results to the Programme and analyse associated risks;

• Experience in IT Operations (support and maintenance of systems);

• Ideally Belgium based – or ability to travel to Belgium on a regular basis for customer intimacy.

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant operations architecture and operations management experience to perform the advertised tasks;

• Experience in process mapping standards such as UML and BPMN;

• Experience in mapping business strategy to information strategy;
