Network Engineer

Function Description

In your role, you will work on all kind of network assets and services. You will equally work with people located in Belgium & in a joined support team.
In this role your main responsibilities will:

• participate in daily management of the network equipment (Firewalls, Switching & Routing, Load Balancing, DNS, Proxies, …)
• You will contribute to incident solving by representing the network team for the above scope
• You will help the project teams with your network technology experience during projects which are assigned to you. You will ensure that the offered solutions are in line with the BNP Paribas Fortis security policies and you will document it.
• You will manage all requests with respect of the security rules of the bank.
• You will be part of an on-call service by turns that can be exceptionally called in case of a P1/P2 incident

Required experience / knowledge

• Experience with network equipment, daily management,
• incident solving and migration/upgrade projects
• Senior experience with the following products:
  • Cisco switching & routing
  • F5 load balancing
  • Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls
  • Infoblox
  • Relevant experience in large enterprise networks
  • Can work independent and focused to deliver on time and according to planning
  • Good communicator
  • Customer-orientation
  • Risk consciousness
  • Flexible and accurate
