.NET Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze, develop, test, and document changes to the Sophis application.
• Provide support for the Sophis system, including workflows, processes, and products.
• Participate in or lead projects, contributing from your area of expertise.
• Engage in process and business analysis, workflow setup, parameterization, programming, application testing, and user training.
• Program in C# to contribute to or realize end-to-end implementations.
• Solve problems, maintain documentation, and provide support in an agile context, with a focus on performance, quality, and security.
• Follow up on support tasks, including monitoring the support box.
• Work on-site in Brussels

Qualifications:

• Experience in computer science and technology with strong knowledge of C#
• Knowledge of SQL (Oracle DB) and Python is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and a keen interest in understanding user needs, business, and IT processes.
• Interest in financial markets, particularly in equity and equity derivatives, market making, and valuation models. Experience in financial markets is an asset but not required.
• Ability to find qualitative solutions that meet requirements while ensuring process and system continuity.
• Eagerness to learn, innovate, and work in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication in English, with Dutch being an advantage.
• Ability to adapt communication style to different stakeholders, from IT experts to business stakeholders.
• Driven, dynamic personality with a willingness to take responsibility.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a support environment.
• Stress-resistant and able to work weekends/holidays when required for support duties and release management.
