Mission

The Application Production Support squad is responsible for business & technical applications related to its domains. 
The squad ensures 2nd line support for applications in the scope of Daily Banking, Payments and Risk&Credits. It takes responsibility of deployment of new business releases & IT operational support for the business applications, in the QA and Production environments.
Main activities are in Brussels but collaboration with our partners abroad is part of the operational context.
We are actively searching for an APS (Application Production Support) Engineer who will be in charge of Run & Deployment of for the Payments applications, more specifically on MTS (Money Transfer System – international payments engine used in the whole BNP Paribas Group) and backend applications, in scope of the concerned squad. 
Furthermore, the candidate must have multi-platform knowledge (Linux, Mainframe ) and good coordination & communication skills

Context of the mission and Function description

As Application Production Support engineer :

  • to fix incidents in QA and in Prod, to provide support to the Payments Tribe
  • to ensure that all deployments are carried out on schedule, are fully deployed, implemented and functioning in the operational environments
  • to help preparing the detailed runbook by identifying all stakeholders and related actions
  • to analyse all technical dependencies between the different components
  • to update the  Current State Architecture  document based on detailed technical design
  • to update or create all documentation for the support

As incident solver in run mode :

  • to find, advice and implement solutions in order to solve incidents
  • to document the resolution progress and the applied solutions
  • to investigate, analyse and document incident cause and solution
  • to evaluate with the squad Scrum Master if an incident has to be escalated to the Incident Manager on duty (iMod)

Required experience

  • Good knowledge of Linux
  • Medior Operating system Linux
  • Medior Database Oracle / SQL
  • Medior on automated batch scheduling
  • MS Office XLS, Word, PPT

Knowledge of Mainframe:

  • Mainframe z/OS
  • DB2 for z/OS, SQL, SPUFI
  • DB2 and IMS utilities
  • TSO/ISPF, JCL
  • Cobol
  • Experience in Unix/Linux scripting (PowerShell)
  • Knowledge of MQ Series
  • Experience in distributed scheduling (CTRL-M)
  • Experience in a second-line  
  • Some knowledge about cloud environments
  • Experience in the deployment of business applications
