Network Engineer

You will join the Network Engineering tribe that is responsible for the day-to-day operation, evolution, monitoring and automation of the client’s group network environment. In addition, the team is also involved in Business and infrastructure project support and delivery. You will join the DC connectivity squad on charge of all CORE Lan Wan & Security perimeter. 

Responsibilities: 

Setting up, configuring, and supporting CORE network Infrastructure and new environment (Firewall infra, HLB, DNS & GLB, IP, proxies infra, Firewall rules, etc.) 

Creating network design based on infrastructure & applicative requirements 

Participating in network design review for infrastructure and segmentation 

Reviewing, implementing and enhancing our network environment 

Assisting with maintenance of current documentation of related corporate network implementation 

Taking part in L3 troubleshooting network systems 

Providing network project support to other teams with the implementation of enterprise and operational service upgrades and new initiatives 

Taking part in Infrastructure and Business projects by delivering the required infrastructure (and related documentation) 

Performing vulnerability assessment, validation & upgrade on the Network Systems/Applications 

Maintaining process like Configuration Management and Monitoring of the infrastructure 

Optimizing our current network implementation and introducing automation services in our environment 

Requirements: 

Experience in Network Security Management Systems as Palo Alto and Checkpoint firewall 

Extensive experience in Checkpoint technologies 

Experience in F5 Technologies 

Experience in Cloudflare product management 

Knowledge of the AlgoSec product 

Good knowledge of routing and switching technology (BGP, ISIS, OSPF, VRF, MPLS, GRE, IPSEC, OTV) 

Excellent understanding of TCP/IP protocols and related DNS (Infoblox), QoS 

Fluency in English (French and/or Dutch would be a plus) 

Nice to have: 

Degree in Computer Science or Certifications in Network Technologies, Information Systems, or other related disciplines  

Soft skills: 

Able to work analytically in a problem-solving environment 

Have excellent customer service skills 

Able to learn new technologies and disciplines quickly 

Able to function effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment 

Able to effectively communicate with other team members  

Additional Information: 

This position will involve regular trips to Paris or Brussels (at least once per quarter)
